tekniart was founded and is run by Nic Costa BAHons MA (RCA).

Nic Costa studied fine art at Maidstone, Ravensbourne, and the Royal College of Art. His career has seen him working as an Experimental Filmmaker, Freelance writer and Antique Dealer and in this field he became an acknowledged world authority on the Gaming industry. In the mid 90's he returned to the arts when he became a full time artist and art lecturer. In 2002 he relocated to Cyprus where he founded the tekniart School in Paphos. In May 2006 he took part in master classes given by Professor Vladimir Mogilevtsev of the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in St Petersburg. In 2007 he  hosted a tour by the radical arts group, the Guerilla Girls. He was also selected to be one of  an international panel of judges for the UN sponsored Art Attack competition in Cyprus. He is currently  writing about contemporary art for Arteri, Grapevine, and  the Chicago based Proximity magazine. 

He is currently working on a pilot project at a local school with 'difficult' or disadvantaged teenagers to create murals and enliven the school environment.  (The scheme is being funded by Paphos Municipality and the Ministry of Education and is due to be applied island wide)

tekniart are also one of the principal organizers of the annual Paphos and Limassol Open Studios.
